Warning, unchecked emotion alert....

mel·an·chol·y
n.
  1. Sadness or depression of the spirits; gloom: “"There is melancholy in the wind and sorrow in the grass"” (Charles Kuralt).
  2. Pensive reflection or contemplation.
We're taking a little break from your regularly scheduled humor to bring you a moment of melancholy. I apologize if it induces vomiting.

I wrote this while I was at work last night. It's incomplete.

Here are a list of things I wish I could change:
I wish I had held you a little longer
before I let you go.
I wish I had fought a little harder
before I said I understood.
I wish I had stared at you with my eyes a little wider
before I turned and walked away.
